Possible Accent
“Said some words strange” like water and order
ô sound
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Philadelphia_English#:~:text=The word water is commonly,dialect%2C even among young Philadelphians.
The word water is commonly pronounced /ˈwʊtər/ (with the first syllable rhyming with the word put, so that it sounds like "wooter" or "wooder"), rather than the more standard English /ˈwɔtər/. This is considered by many to be the defining characteristic of a Philadelphia dialect, even among young Philadelphians.[40]

He “didn’t have bad teeth”.
Never visited the dentist.
He didn’t have glasses or need contacts
Always wore his watch face-in. Can be seen in Thanksgiving photograph.
